Our flights to Turkey came off pretty well. We actually arrived in Turkey on Wednesday at 3:30, but the only thing was that our baggage didn't make it with us! It wasn't really that surprising, since our flight out of Norfolk was delayed. We actually took a different flight to DC than we were scheduled for, and when we got there, we had to make a bee-line from one end of the concourse to the other end (internation flights) to catch our plane to Munich. The Munich flight was long, but it was fairly comfortable. We all had bulkhead seats, so we were able to stretch out. Suzan, kiddies and I had seats together in Economy Class, while Alex chose to take the seperate seat in Economy Plus. That actualy worked out pretty well. We had little kids all around us (which made for a noisy flight), but Alex said he was the youngest person sitting in his section, so it was quiet. He was able to read, listen to his iPod, and watch movies, so he was happy. I worked on the computer a bit, watched a few movies, and slept. Food on the flight was pretty good, not what I expected from airplane food. Here's a tech tip for you...I bought a pair of iPod bud earphones (the ones that fit in your ear..not the ones that come with the iPod) and they were FREAKING awesome! The blocked out an enormous amount of sound (read that as: all the nosiy children around us) and the sound was awesome! |
