Büyükada, the Big Island off of Istanbul.  We took a 2 hour ferry ride to the island.  They don't allow cars on the island, so we had to get to Nur and Sami's house by a horse drawn carriage.  Their house is beautiful, and has an awesome view of the Sea of Marmara.  We went to their beach club to swim.  The water was beautiful, warm, and clear!

Their house and the sea were some of our favorite places and we were happy to get away from the exhaust smells of Istanbul. The only downside was that an island full of horse-drawn carriages has its own special form of exhaust!
