This isn't really written by Lee...Suzan hacked in and is adding an article. On the way to Kapadokya, we stopped to see (and walk on) the salt lake. It is the second largest lake in Turkey, but the exciting part was that the salt is so thick that we could walk on the lake. Now we can all say that we've walked on water and we're telling the truth!! It was almost like we were walking on sand, but under the dusty stuff (salt) was really a lake. we could make holes in the salt and see the water less than an inch below and we didn't fall into the water when we made the holes. I would think it should work like ice and that we should fall in if we made holes in it, but the salt was still strong even with holes in it. |
